I don't know how to work the thing with the word document, I'll have to ask the Elder who suggested that. I just experimented without writing anything and as soon as I reopened the email it closed the word document so I guess I'd have to figure something else out. That's slightly annoying though, but oh well. There isn't a save draft option on this email either. These computers are really annoying. They even block us from listening to hymns from lds.org. I don't know what they think we're going to find.

So, you accidentally sent me Tommy's letter. And from his email it sounded like he thought I was leaving for Italy last Friday, so I hope if he has mine that he doesn't forward it to Italy, then I'll never get it...I'm not leaving until September. Actually, I don't know where to send his to him that he'll actually get it fast.

Wow, sounds like Dad gave a lot of talks, that's a pretty intense Sunday.

This week has been a busy one. I like it when we finally get around to Tuesdays. So, I thinkk I forgot to tell you last week, but they're broadcasting the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication tto the MTC, so that's a pretty cool thing that we get to be a part of this next Sunday. It's my second temple dedication this year. Pretty cool stuff.

We started teaching in Italian this week. It's been interesting. Sometimes we say pretty crazy things, and my companion said something yesterday that the teacher just died laughing over, she was trying to ask him to say the prayer but she instead said some reflexive verb that ended up being a completely inappropriate questiona nd it was pretty hilarious.

Both of our teachers are leaving us, and we aren't too excited to get new ones. I already wrote a letter to you this morning so I can't really think of new things to say...But life is good. We're working this week on actually being quiet during quiet time and being in bed and ready to sleep at 10:30, rather than turning off the lights and then praying until later. Our Branch President wanted us to experiment to see if it brought us more mail. Well, yesterday I got three letters, well, three envelopes, two from Alex and one that was technically for Tommy. But I guess it's kind of working so far? We only got one or two letters in our district last week and I hadn't gotten anything for a while.

Hmm...I can't think of anything to write right now, I'll come back to it later.

I was fairly certain that Spartacus was going to come before the 30 th . I figured he’d come some time after the 15 th . I had a plan to labor at home (or work, I guess) as long as possible, and once at the hospital use the birthing balls, walking, etc, eventually get an epidural, and have this baby. But I hadn’t written it out or even finished packing a bag, and that turned out to be okay because my birth plan wouldn’t have mattered anyway. Sunday the 9 th we had everything ready for work Monday—lunches packed, workout loaded on computer, and we went to bed. They'll learn much more than I'll ever know

A year ago I was 37 weeks pregnant. I had lunch packed for work, I had workouts selected for the week, Netflix shows downloaded for any downtime. I did not have a carseat in my car, I did not have a bag packed for the hospital, and I had a list of things to get done over the next few weeks. Well, the bag got packed in a frenzy, the lunch went bad in my fridge, the Netflix shows expired, and my list went undone. Waking up because your water broke at midnight can throw a wrench in the best laid plans. Tonight I'm snuggling my baby for the last night of his first trip around the sun, letting him know just how wanted he was and how loved he is. The last year has changed so many things. I didn't know then that I wouldn't go back to that job. I didn't know then that keeping a human alive takes more than you feel capable of giving and rewards you in ways that are meaningful to nobody but you. So, Alex and I really like our new ward. We tried the family one for a couple of weeks but the strange Jerusalem high tech travelogue otherwise known as Sunday School was a bit too much for us. We decided instead upon the married student ward. It's great, it's on top of things, I had a visiting teaching assignment before we were even officially in the ward. But it's odd. A "married student ward" is an odd concept at times. Like, if you're not cuddly enough in Sacrament Meeting the member of the Stake Presidency might get up and tell everyone that they need to go home, look their spouse in the eyes, and tell them the reasons they love them. Or if you don't hold hands walking to or from the chapel, chances are people will give you funny looks. Unless you have a baby preventing you, which is likely. (Alex thought you got kicked out of these wards once you had kids...he was very wrong) We have a good time analyzing clothing styles. I complain about the fac...
